The Osnabrück Summit Run from the Town Hall Square up to Piesberg is a challenging race for experienced and trained runners due to its distance of 10.7 km and its course profile with steep inclines and the final staircase of the South Ascent. Participation is expressly not recommended for inexperienced participants and children under 12 years old. After the service with Regional Bishop Friedrich Selter, Mayor Katharina Pötter gave the starting signal in perfect running weather, and the runners set off towards Piesberg.

Highlights

  • With a new record time, Jonas Kulgemeyer stormed to the summit in just 35:48 minutes, finishing first.
  • Annika Klezath won the women's race with a time of 45:20 minutes.
  • The musical support of the town hall band accompanied the runners in the final meters and gave them an extra boost.
